Oregon County
Health Department
We work to protect all county residents from disease and injury, and we provide education and programs that promote health and well-being for everyone in our community.
About Us
The Oregon County Health Department is part of Missouri's large public health system, along with 114 other local public health agencies. We work in coordination with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), but are not governed by DHSS. We are governed by a local Board of Directors, elected by Oregon County residents to serve three-year terms with no financial compensation.
We focus on issues that support health for everyone in our community - from preventing disease to protecting lives during public health emergencies and promoting healthy environments where we can all thrive.
We look at data to help inform our decisions, and we share that
data with our partners and community members in order to
support policy development and guide health improvement planning.
